Senior Manager, Software Engineering

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager who can develop innovative medical software in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for leading a software development team for our devices and systems. Key Responsibilities:
Work on a cross-functional product development team to design and develop software for current and future medical devices.
Using Software Development Life Cycle and coding best practices:
Lead and mentor other developers
Generate estimates for tasks and project schedules
Design and document software features from product requirements
Implement features using coding best practices
Collaborate closely with other teams including: marketing, test, risk, project management, design assurance and regulatory
The Software Engineering Manager will mentor and guide a team of extremely talented software engineers and lead the full life cycle software development efforts. They will provide key technical leadership on one or more product development projects implemented under an FDA compliant product development process. They will be involved in all aspects of the development process from concept thru production as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team. It will be expected to challenge assumptions and seeks new ideas by active solicitation of opposing perspectives and alternative ideas. Also, can provide proactive sharing of accomplishments, knowledge, lessons, and updates across the organization.
Bachelor's degree ? Appropriate technical discipline (e.g. Computer Science; Computer Engineering)
Minimum of 12 years of experience in an engineering or technical role with the following skills:
Providing technical leadership for software engineering team
Strong understanding of operating system concepts
Experience with software security and encryption
Bluetooth and WiFi experience
Software testing and test automation
Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills
Experience developing HTTP, JSON, and RESTFul Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)
Any Agile or Lean experience such as Kanban, Scrum, Test-Driven Development, Behavior-Driven Development and/or Extreme Programming methodologies
Working knowledge of security best practices
Developing system architecture
Strong problem-solving skills using formal methodologies to determine root cause and effective solutions to problems
Windows Client Applications Development (including C#)
Native Android and IOS development is a plus but not required
Medical device experience is a plus but not required

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
