Hill-Rom's comprehensive product and service offerings are used by health care providers across the health care continuum and around the world in hospitals, extended care facilities and home care settings to enhance the safety and quality of patient care.  Description Position Summary: The Senior Buyer Planner is responsible for source selection and procurement functions directly associated with Welch Allyn needs for indirect materials and services, fixed assets and tooling, and select production materials and services. These products and services are to be secured at cost, quality and delivery competitive levels consistent with Company policy and performance standards. The position is further responsible for the timely planning, scheduling of receipt and inventory control of the products and services as assigned. This individual will play a key role within the Supply Chain to use their knowledge of planning and inventory management, lean manufacturing concepts and techniques (e.g. Kanban), and ERP software to ensure Welch Allyn customer orders are delivered accurately and according to schedule. The Senior Buyer/Planner utilizes their experience, knowledge, skills to work with greater initiative and with more complex challenges. They distinguish themselves by proactively identifying and resolving opportunities. They are experienced and highly effective negotiators, data analysts, communicators, and problem solvers. Manages assigned commodities to reduce total cost of ownership, reduce inventory levels and increase inventory turns, and ensure on-time delivery.   Position Responsibilities: - Work closely with the Director of Supply Chain, Sales and Marketing, Engineering, Production, Sales Coordinators, Quality Assurance, and other departments as necessary to maintain production efficiency and quality. - Initiate purchase orders and amendments for parts, services, and/or special tools; arranges for submission and inspection of sample products as required; close coordination with engineering to assure timely execution of product and services sourcing activities. - Secure and analyze quotations; negotiate prices and terms with suppliers; and recommend suppliers with respect to cost, quality, and delivery competitiveness for assigned responsibilities. - Study market prices and trends, engineering developments and manufacturing method improvements applicable to assigned responsibilities and advise company activities with concurrence of department leadership. - Work with current and prospective suppliers to determine and verify supply capabilities, transportation logistics inventory control and management, negotiate prices and delivery terms. - Coordinate the planning of recent schedules and inventory control parameters for the assigned products and services consistent with APS (MRP) requirements. - Coordinate as appropriate, quality matters and engineering changes/developments between company activities and suppliers. - Determine and establish delivery dates that ensure a timely delivery yet do not come so early as to waste valuable space or tie up financial resources. - Find best product for the best price from the most reliable suppliers. - Issue Purchase Orders and verify that the suppliers have received them. - Ensure that all materials are received in a timely manner. Follow up on all purchase orders to ensure that scheduled delivery dates are met. - Review APS (MRP) output reports (e.g. planner workbench, order action) to determine jobs and purchase orders required to fulfill outstanding demands. - Evaluate product family rough cut capacity. - Review job shortages and respond in a timely manner to the Sales Coordinators and Production Manager on availability. - Provide the Sales Order Entry Coordinator with reliable Customer Order due dates, as needed. - Evaluate planning elements (e.g. lead-time, safety stock, days' supply) for manufactured assemblies. - Comply with our ISO 9001 13485 Quality System standards. - Maintain the 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain) program for your area. - Propose operational changes to the Director of Supply Chain to improve efficiency, eliminate wasteful processes and to reduce cost (e.g. methods of planning, forecasting, MPS etc.). - Evaluate and suggest changes with our business software capabilities/features. - Initiate and lead continuous improvement projects. - Conduct meetings, prepare and present reports, and provide information to identify purchasing requirements, establish business plans and performance objectives, and report performance against plan and business objectives. - Performs other duties as requested. Qualifications Required Background and Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in the field of Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Technology, or related field required. - At least 4-5 years' experience as a buyer/planner. - Working knowledge of a lean and/or agile manufacturing environment planning and scheduling for Make to Stock, Assemble to Order and Engineer to Order products. - An understanding of MPS (Master Production Scheduling), MRP (Material Requirements Planning)/APS and CRP (Capacity Requirements Planning) logic. - Working knowledge of basic Inventory Control principles and techniques. - Strong analytical capabilities and effective communication to influence change. - Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office software and fluent in English for both written and oral communication. - Excellent ERP skills and knowledge.   Preferred Qualifications: - Effective at communicating with both internal and external customers and at all levels of management. - Strong personal skills to work with others under minimal supervision. - Ability to work well in a fast pace environment. - Good organization and detailed planning. - Ability to solve complex technical, financial, and business challenges. - CPIM or CSCP certification is preferred. - Must be a team-player, possess outstanding customer service skills and be self-motivated. - Acts with a sense of urgency, illustrates ambition, and drives for completion of tasks and projects. - Must have the ability to initiative and develop creative solutions. - Possess the ability to manage time and prioritize critical priorities. - Must demonstrate the ability to increase knowledge. 18124987

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
